Triangle Tennis Club is excited to welcome back the
GLBT-CommUnity Alliance (GLBT-CA) at North Carolina State University as
one of our tournament beneficiaries. Founded in 1988, The CommUnity Alliance is the primary voice for GLBT students at North Carolina's largest university.
Their mission is to cultivate a campus environment that provides a safe and positive college experience for all students regardless of perceived or realized sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. GLBT-CA works closely with the GLBT Center at NC State to promote an inclusive and welcoming environment on campus and in the local community.
LGBTQ Center of Durham
Additionally,
TTC is happy to welcome the
LGBTQ Center of Durham
as a second beneficiary of the CMTC. The Center's mission is
to create a safe and inclusive community committed to supporting and celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and queer identified people in and around Durham, North Carolina.
The Durham LGBTQ center has been in existence for a little over a year now, and still working to raise the capital funding necessary to secure a permanent location. Donations from origrantzation such as the CMTC will go a long way to helping support their cause.
